Good people you meet

One of the great things about travelling is the good people you meet.

At Noosa recently I met a bunch of good people. From Noosa local Phippsy who lost his heat but didn't seem to care - a great bloke to surf with, to the SUP rider in the red helmet who always wore a big smile whether winning or losing (just call me buckethead he said), to Dave and Mrs Wilson who cheered Ben on with me in the cadets (top family the Wilson's), to Murray from Golden Breed (ex Lorne Surf) who's always up for a chat, to the Ellice Flints who we've got to know over a few trips now.

Its good to remind yourself every now and again, that when the singlets are packed up and there's no more heats to win or lose, there's always the waves and this huge tribe called surfers that we're all part of. So keep smilin', remember its not all that serious, we're all pretty lucky to live the life we do.

Its always good to be home too, especially when your favorite wave is doin its thing (see above)
